The Connection Journey: Helping Kids Breathe Easier
It can be scary to learn your child has asthma, but receiving that diagnosis is the first step to helping them breathe better. With the right asthma team and treatment, your child can get back to the things they love.
In this series of The Connection Journey, Angela and Ava, a mother-daughter duo that has been on the path to managing asthma for more than four years, share the lessons they have learned about managing a child’s asthma along the way with Yaretzi, who was recently diagnosed with asthma, and her mom, Claudia.
The two families talk about everything from how to make asthma mediciations easier for children to take to how to help your kids manage their asthma at school, with the help of faculty.
This video is part of Children’s Hospital Colorado’s series called The Connection Journey, where newly diagnosed families lean on people who faced similar difficult situations. This unique program connects families who are experienced in managing certain medical conditions for their child with families who are new to the challenge.
This series is here to help give you a glimpse into challenges and solutions other families have encountered while managing their child’s asthma. You may find something that could help ease the burden of asthma on your family — whether you’re just starting the journey or need a little help along the way.
