How to Promote Healthy Coping in Your Child




The coronavirus pandemic has taken a toll on children’s mental health. Between the stress, disruption of routines and the isolation from friends and family many have felt, finding healthy coping strategies for kids and teens is more important than ever. And some solutions might be simpler than you think.

“In fact, there have been studies that have shown that simply getting cardio exercise on a regular basis actually improves certain hormones in our bodies in the same way antidepressants can,” says Jessica Hawks, MD, a clinical child and adolescent psychologist.
