As Medical Director of the Colorado Fetal Care Center, Teresa Harper, MD, gives families hope. Hope can take many forms – a new diagnosis, an alternative intervention or simply a different way of listening.
“When they enter here, many of them have been told the outcome is going to be very poor for their child,” says Dr. Harper, who’s also Division Chief of Maternal Fetal Medicine. “Oftentimes we do change their outcomes.”
Dr. Harper is always looking for ways to provide better care, both emotionally and therapeutically, drawing inspiration from her team and patients.
“There’s never a ‘no’ from this team,” says Dr. Harper. “There is always what can we do differently? What can we do better?”
