“For kids that are born with heart problems — it’s not like they did something to mess this up and it’s not like their parents did something,” says Dr. Nash. “These are things that just happened. But to give them a chance to have the best childhood they can have — I mean, that’s a reason to wake up in the morning and come to work.”
