At Children’s Colorado, we celebrate all the dimensions of difference that make our team members, patients and families unique. One way we do this is through our team member resource groups. These chartered groups are created and run by team members, bringing together those who share a common identity or lived experience and their allies to create a space for support and belonging.
Our team member resource groups started in 2019 with just a handful of individuals and have grown to eight chartered groups and hundreds of people. Each group hosts regular meetings for connection and discussion, as well as educational opportunities for team members and cultural celebrations for patients and families at our locations. Not only do these groups demonstrate our commitment to building an inclusive workplace culture, but also show our patients, families and community members that here, they belong.
