An MDI Inhaler with a Spacer/ Holding chamber eases the delivery of medicine to the lungs. This makes the medication more effective. A facemask should be attached to the Spacer for children who cannot coordinate pressing down on the MDI, inhaling and holding their breath for a count of 10. Children should always use their Spacer/ Holding chamber with a metered dose inhaler (MDI).
