Twin boys Theo and Sam might have been more familiar with a hospital room than their own room during their first year of life. Sam had a procedure in our Cardiac Catheterization Lab and spent three weeks in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Theo had seven surgeries for gastrointestinal and heart conditions and spent four months in our Neonatal and Cardiac Intensive Care Units.
Their parents, Bonnie and Joe, had many unnerving moments, but one group always gave them some much needed comfort — our nurses.
