How to Perform a Rectal Irrigation for Patients with Hirschsprung Disease
Hirschsprung disease occurs when a baby is born without enough nerve cells in their intestines and can’t pass stool on their own. This can cause severe constipation and inflammation, known as colitis. Your child may need rectal irrigations to pass stool.
