Cavus Foot Surgery and Recovery in Children

Cavus foot causes the arch of the foot to be too high. The cavus foot deformity in children can cause pain and foot misalignment if left untreated.

While some instances of cavus foot are treated with orthotics, more serious cases require cavus foot surgery. Surgical treatments include soft tissue release, bone correction and tendon transfers. Our pediatric experts in the Orthopedics Institute perform only those treatments that are necessary for each child.

Watch this video to learn more about each surgical treatment for cavus foot and what to expect from recovery from surgery.
