Day in the Life: Clinical Nurse in Medical-Surgical Care

Courtney has two groups she cares for: kids and her fellow nurses. As a clinical nurse in our Medical-Surgical Unit, she’s focused on getting kids healthy and back to their lives. As a charge nurse and preceptor who supports nursing students, she teaches and advises newer nurses.

Being a pediatric clinical nurse at Children’s Colorado allows Courtney to fulfill both roles.

Courtney is here because she loves caring for kids and experiencing the joy they bring to the world. She’s stayed here, in part, because of the educational and advancement opportunities offered by our clinical ladder program.

Learn more from Courtney about our pediatric residency program, what it means to work at a pediatric teaching hospital and what it’s like to help kids through their healing journey.
