EXIT Procedure

Babies with a complex prenatal diagnosis often require complex and specialized treatments. An EXIT procedure, known as an ex utero intrapartum treatment, is one of those treatments – and can help save a baby’s life. Babies with airway obstructions or severe heart issues may need an EXIT procedure to safely bring them into the world.

Watch this video to learn more about EXIT procedures, what to expect from the surgery at our Colorado Fetal Care Center and the multidisciplinary team that makes it possible. We’ll also explain how your baby can recover in our exceptional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), just steps from where we perform the EXIT procedure.
