Neuromuscular Flatfoot Surgery
Often, children with neuromuscular flatfoot can experience pain, trouble walking and poor range of motion. In this video, we explain gastrocnemius muscle recession and how it improves ankle dorsiflexion, or flexibility, with spastic flatfoot. We also discuss calcaneal lengthening using a bone graft and how it can improve range of motion and increase mobility for kids with neuromuscular flatfoot.
