Meet Our Doc: Daniel Wood, MD, Chair of Adult Congenital Surgery, Urology

Helping kids have a healthy childhood is only part of what we do. Ensuring they have a healthy lifetime is the ultimate goal.

As our Chair of Adult Congenital Surgery, Daniel Wood, MD, works toward that goal every day. Dr. Wood cares for kids in our Department of Pediatric Urology as they grow into adults. Offering this type of care, called transitional care, is just one of the things that makes Children’s Hospital Colorado different.

Pediatric urology is just part of Dr. Wood’s job. He not only provides care for children but continues and adapts care for them as adults. Providing transitional care throughout a person’s lifetime allows us to see how treatment children received when they were young affects them as adults This information is invaluable to research and helps us improve care and pediatric urologic treatment. Watch the video to find out what major difference drew Dr. Wood to Children’s Colorado.
