Meet Our Bot: Arlo and Robotic-Assisted Pediatric Surgery at Children’s Hospital Colorado

Our newest team member has four arms and can see 100 times better than most people. Even though he’s very advanced, he still needs a little help in the operating room. His name is Arlo and he helps us perform robotic-assisted surgery.

Arlo is a Da Vinci® Surgical System designed to help assist in a range of pediatric surgeries. With one of our skilled surgeons at the controls, Arlo helps us perform pediatric surgery more precisely, allowing us to make smaller incisions and perform more complex procedures. Using Arlo to assist us in minimally invasive surgery mean less time for our patients in the operating room and shorter recovery times.

Learn about the types of surgeries Arlo can perform and how he helps us provide even better surgical care: https://www.childrenscolorado.org/doctors-and-departments/departments/surgery/services-we-offer/robotic-assisted-surgery/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=slg_surgery_center.
