Our Department of Pediatric Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery helps kids with many different health conditions or issues — from dog bites to cancer and so much in between. No one knows the wide-ranging types of pediatric plastic surgeries we perform better than the Chair of the Department, Phuong Nguyen, MD.
“It’s a unique field where we are able to be problem solvers,” says Dr. Nguyen. “Whether it be taking care of a really bad dog bite, or a part of your anatomy that cancer has taken away or being able to give a child a new way to smile when they’ve had a facial palsy, or to repair a cleft lip – something they were born with. Every day is different – we operate from head to toe and it’s truly a huge privilege to do that.”
