Here&#8217;s What To Do"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><br \/>\n<br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mindbodygreen-res.cloudinary.com\/image\/upload\/c_crop,x_0,y_89,w_2121,h_1192\/c_fill,w_700,h_400,g_auto,q_85,fl_lossy,f_jpg\/org\/us2esu1xdkkg1pmi7.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/reginalark.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">Regina Lark Ph.D.<\/a>, organization expert and author of <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/45VmSpA\" rel=\"nofollow\"><em>Emotional Labor: Why a Woman\u2019s Work is Never Done and What To Do About It<\/em><\/a>, chores can become a source of conflict in relationships for a number of reasons.<\/p>\n<p>For one thing, especially if you&#8217;re in a cis-het relationship, traditional gender roles around &#8220;women&#8217;s work&#8221; are still incredibly pervasive, with many of us subconsciously holding a belief that it&#8217;s the woman&#8217;s job in the relationship to manage the household\u2014cooking, cleaning, taking care of the kids, keeping track of everyone&#8217;s calendars, the list goes on&#8230;and on and on.<\/p>\n<p>And not only does that list go on, but so many parts of it are effectively invisible.
