And thankfully, it\u2019s never too late to start a daily stretching routine. Because according to scientific research, there are some pretty darn good reasons we should all start following one ASAP.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from improving our flexibility and feeling <em>amazing<\/em>, daily stretching has been proven to <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/29623692\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-vars-event=\"body text\" data-vars-click-url=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/29623692\/\">improve our circulation<\/a>. So take things slow and remember to breathe. \u201cRelax your shoulders as best as you can, try to relax your jaw, your forehead, and then gently let it go,\u201d says Uribarri. \u201cWe may not even realize it, but when we\u2019re in deep stretches for our hips, specifically, and we feel tight, those parts of the body\u2014jaw, forehead\u2014tend to really clench.
