Place over high heat and bring to a boil. Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low; cook for 20 minutes, stirring halfway.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After 20 minutes, the lentils should be tender. Uncover and raise the heat to medium. Stir in the salt, cumin, cinnamon, turmeric, paprika and currants.
