Here at Children\u2019s Hospital Colorado, we are here to help families and kids through all aspects of an illness.<\/p>\n<p>In this video, two families discuss a heart defect their sons have been diagnosed with called hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS). One family has valuable experience to share about their son\u2019s three surgeries after birth at Children\u2019s Colorado. The other family is new to the experience; their son is beginning the process of surgery and they are looking for advice. These two families share their concerns and thoughts. They ask questions and provide support for each other in a time of difficulty.<\/p>\n<p>This video is part of a unique series called The Connection Journey. Throughout the series, you\u2019ll see that while no one can guarantee outcomes, we can share the power of perspective. Watch and gain knowledge through the conversations between real parents and patients, as they talk about what to expect from their diagnosis.
