The question wasn\u2019t whether she\u2019d pursue medicine, but rather what specialty she would choose.  <\/p>\n<p>During her residency, she joined a pediatric cardiology clinic, which ignited her interest in working with children and families. As a fetal and pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Villavicencio spends a lot of time with her patients, oftentimes meeting them before they\u2019re born. From birthdays to graduations, she says it\u2019s rewarding to watch her patients hit different milestones, which is just another reason why she loves working at Children\u2019s Hospital Colorado.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorking here is an honor and a privilege.
